Police arraign 2 men for allegedly stealing 2,514 chickens in Osun.
The police in Osun on Monday charged Lateef Ajetomobi, 43, and Saraju Yekini 33, in an Osogbo Boss Officers ‘ Court for supposedly taking 2,514 chickens. The police accused Ajetomobi and Yekini of three tallies of burglary, connivance and misleading. The Investigator, Insp Joshua Oladoye, told the court that the respondents submitted the offense between May 2018 and August 2018, at Olu ranch constrained, Osogbo. Oladoye asserted that the respondents and others everywhere, stole 2,514 chickens esteemed at N3 million, having a place with one Akosu Samuel. He said the litigants worked at Olu ranch constrained. The investigator said the offense contradicted the arrangements of areas 516, 427, 383(1) culpable under segment 390(9) of the criminal code top 34 vol. 11, laws of Osun, 2003. The litigants argued not liable to the charges against them. The barrier counsel, Mr Emmanuel Adebisi , supplicated the court to concede his customers safeguard in the most liberal terms. The Judge, Mrs Aishat Olayemi, conceded the respondents to safeguard in the entirety of N500,000 each and one surety each in like aggregate. Olayemi requested that the sureties must live inside the court’s locale with proof of duty installments and three visa measured photos, appended with a sworn statement of methods. She deferred the case until Walk 11, for hearing (NAN).
