In a statement released on Tuesday, January 8, the institution: No form of interruption, whatsoever, have academic activities including teaching, learning and research, suffered since the strike began.

The OAU stated that it cannot be shut down by less than 20 striking lecturers out of the more than its 1,300 academic staff population.
